The ISNRV holds several events throughout the week for children, students, community members

  • Quran Tajweed Halaqa (Sunday)

    This halaqa meets weekly on Sunday in an effort to beautify our reading and engage with the quran together. The halaqa focuses on teaching the tajweed rules, correcting the pronunciation of letters, and also improving the fluency of recitation. The halaqa meets Sunday evening and is open to all levels.   • Undergraduate Student Halaqa (Monday)

    This halaqa meets weekly on Monday evening and is a spiritual reminder and lecture focused on undergraduate students. The halaqa involves a short lecture (30 minutes) followed by a discussion of the content of the day’s discussion. This is also a great opportunity for students to maintain a connection to the masjid and local community. For more information, contact president@vtmsa.org.

  • Quran lessons for beginners (Tuesday)

    This program is to help beginners and non-Arabic speakers to learn how to read the Quran step by step. The basics of reading Arabic words and sentences are also covered in this class. We get together every Tuesday at 7.00 pm.

  • Women Halaqa (Wednesday)

    Halaqa for women every Wednesday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM with sister Doha, who specializes in correcting the reading and recitation of the Qur’an in a simple and interesting way for all levels.

  • Seerah Halaqa (Friday)

    Sheikh Yasir Qadhi has an extensive online series going through the details of the Seerah of prophet Mohammed (pbuh). On Friday nights, there is a halaqa to watch the youtube series together followed by discussion of key points and events. For more information, contact amr.hilal@gmail.com.

  • Tafseer Halaqa (Saturday)

    This halaqa has been meeting weekly for almost 20 years to study the quran and its meaning. The halaqa focuses on understanding the language of the quran as well as exploring the meanings and interpretations of the verses in the quran by multiple scholars of tafseer.
